    Description

    Vintage horse racing program from September 17, 1938 at Havre-de-Grace featuring the Eastern Shore Handicap. This race had future Hall of Famer CHALLEDON in it, and he ended up running off the board before going on to a pretty brilliant career that included a win in the Preakness Stakes and a runner-up finish in the Kentucky Derby along with the Hollywood Gold Cup and many other handicap races.
    This program has a small amount of writing throughout, mostly with the changes, odds and scratches marked. The Eastern Shore is barely marked at all, but some of the earlier races have a bit more writing. The staples on this are very strong with no rust, and there are no rips, tears or folds on this this.
