    Description

Vintage horse racing program from November 11, 1958 at Jamaica racetrack in New York featuring the Remsen Stakes (now run at Belmont Park) that included future Hall of Famer Sword Dancer as a relatively unknown 2-year-old. He didn't do much as a juvenile, and he didn't win this race (Atoll did), but he turned into an elite 3-year-old and won the Belmont Stakes after nearly winning the Preakness and Kentucky Derby. He won several big races against older horses in 1959 and was named Horse of the Year. We are putting this up with a low starting bid and no reserve!
This program has quite a bit of writing as pictured, and the original owner apparently had a fondness for Roman numerals. The program appears to have been folded but the creasing is not severe. Overall still in pretty nice shape. Please review the photos and use the magnify feature to review the condition. We guarantee satisfaction with the racing items we sell, so if you are not happy with it then it can be returned for a full refund, assuming it is returned in the same condition of course.
Shipping is .95, which includes a rigid mailer reinforced with cardboard for protection and insurance.
