    Description

Antique hand-colored print measures 4 7/8 x 8 1/2  inches from a painting by Boulbee, engraved by Francis Humphrys. Some of Highflyer's pedigree is penciled on reverse.
Highflyer (1774-1793) was an undefeated thoroughbred race horse and a successful 18th century sire.
Print came with a number of horse racing items that belonged to Walter S. Vosburgh, an original member of The Jockey Club, turf historian ( author of American Racing, 1866-1921 etc.), official handicapper for various racing associations, including New York race tracks from 1894-1934 and for whom the Vosburgh Stakes at Belmont Park are named.
    Thank you.
