Lamplighter was an American thoroughbred sired by Spendthrift with Dam Torchlight. He had a number of Major wins, won 29 of 66 starts, finishing in the money 53 times and was American Co-Champion Handicap Male Horse in 1893. He is the namesake of the Lamplighter Stakes at Monmouth Park.
