Rare flow blue Staffordshire Cape Cod, Massachusetts Commemorative Plate - made in England by Rowland & Marsellus. This flow blue plate measures approximately     9 1/4" inches across, and has a white background with blue images. The plate has a beautiful decorative border featuring many prominent Hyannis and Cape Cod landmarks and buildings. The central image features the oldest windmill on Cape Cod. The back of this plate carries the manufacturer's mark: "The Rowland & Marsellus Co. -- Staffordshire, England - Designed & Imported By Megathlin's Drug Store, Hyannis, Mass.".
This plate was part of a large collection that was carefully stored away for many years, and it is in extremely good condition - there are no chips, cracks, repairs, stains or marks anywhere on this item. Some light crazing is present in the clear glaze - primarily on the back of the plate (typical of antique china), but it is extremely minor and barely visible. This is an absolutely beautiful plate.
