Four Photographs Of Descendants Of The Founding Father Of Putneyville Pennsylvania, David Putney. In the 1830's David Putney founded the town along the Mahoning River. I believe B.H. Putney was the grandson of "Old Father" Putney and was in the flatboat making business in the 1870's. The two top photos are of B.H. Putney, one is a cabinet photo, the other tin. The bottom tin photos show L. M. & G.W. Putney at Pittsburgh on April 20, 1893. The other bottom photo is of H.D. Mason who I believe was a nephew of B.H.'s. All four photos for one money.
