    Description

    Original Late 1800’s New Orleans Roof Slate. Approximately 12” x 12” square & weighs a little over 4 pounds. Roof slate was mined in Pennsylvania & floated down the Mississippi & Ohio rivers on rafts to be used for roofing after 1795. Each one was hand shaped. This one came from a French Quarter building. You can create your own art masterpiece on this 100 year old slate or use it for various decorative purposes. This is such an amazing piece!
