Description
This is avintage
unopened bottle of Born Free shampoo made by Alberto Culver. This dates from the late 1960's or early 1970's. This is the big 15 oz bottle.
The original price sticker from J.M. Fields
showing
.39 is still attached. It looks like there is residue from a second price sticker that was
previously
attached below the current one.
The J.M. Fields department store chain went out of business in 1978. We know this bottle was made before 1974, because there is no bar code on the label.
There is a crease in the bottle, and I believe this was caused when water inside very slowly evaporates over the course of decades, and with the top sealed tightly, it causes the bottle to be slightly squeezed inward.
I have seen other full plastic bottles "bow in" after being in storage for many years.
If you look on Google Images for "Born Free shampoo", the first image is a similar bottle, although a smaller 7 oz bottle, and that one also has a crease in the same spot.
I combine shipping if you purchase more than one item, and I pass the postage savings on to you.
