Vintage Gray Jansport Tent 2 or 3 person with Awning Very Good Condition

The tent measures 8 feet from one diagonal to the other diagonal.  The tent is a hexagon in the inside, so each diagonal is 8 feet.  The tent measures 52" high on the outside.  The tent zippers, the poles and the tent itself are in very good condition.  The only thing wrong with the tent is that it is dusty, and one metal stake is slightly bent.  There are 4 metal stakes and 4 plastic ones.  There are no instructions with the tent.  My husband and I worked very hard trying to figure out how to set up the tent.  To make it easier for you, we have set forth detailed instructions below.
Instructions for setting up the tent:
Lay out the tent on the ground and you will see grommets to set the poles into on the perimeter as well as sleeves for poles.   The sleeves are directionally aligned with the grommets and cross the tent.  Each of the 4 poles will go through a sequence of sleeves in going from side to side where upon side endpoints are set into a grommet to hold them in place.
Each pole comes in sections of about 2 feet and are held together with an elastic cord in the center to hold the pole as a whole together.   In going through the sleeves, it is best to do it section by section and fitting them together in a progressive way which makes it easier to go through the successive sleeves.
Starting with one of the diagonal sleeves, it is easiest to move through the sleeves and end up with the center portion unconnected, but with each end of the pole in a side grommet.   Once we have reached this stage, we then connect the center portion.   In doing so, the tent may pull against our action, so we must also pull the tent up along the sleeves to close in upon the center and once we do it, we can fit the pole together.
Next, we do the same thing with the other diagonal, which will then cross in the tent center.
After the 2 diagonal poles are in place, we do the same actions with the front and back poles.  Unlike the diagonal poles, these must share a strip with 2 grommets.   ( the diagonal poles used strips with a single grommet)
At this stage, the tent is standing up in its natural way.
Our next action, is to put on the outer tent portion (which might be called a rain cover).
We drape the cover over the core tent, and use the 4 small poles to secure the awnings over the tent entrance and back window.   This also secures the outer cover in place
Our final step is to secure the tent to the ground with the stakes which go through metal rings on the tent ground perimeter.  If there is not wind to move the tent, this last step might not be needed.
