PROCESS COLOR GUIDE BOOK by Graftek.
To simplify your color selection and provide a wide spectrum of possible colors for your printing use, Graftek created this handy guide to assist in the selection of tints. Pages are 7" square and each page illustrates 121 color combinations, 10,890 in all.
IMPORTANT!
Don't trust printing colors to your computer; this book is absolutely accurate as to what the printed color will be; your computer monitor is NOT!
In utilizing the standard four-color process inks, combined with single gradations of tint values from 10% to 100% (solid), you can now visualize and select the exact hue that will best enhance your printed product. There is also a row and column that shows the absence of a color (0%).
Each page of each section has been keyed to illustrate a triad effect. The yellow tint block (upper right) denotes the percent of process yellow combined with varying percentages of one or two other process colors. In addition, the second row, horizontally, combines the same percent of the overprint process color with percentages of one other primary process color.
The sections illustrate the following process color combinations:
1. Process yellow, process red and process blue
2. Process yellow, process red and black
3. Process yellow, process blue and black
To further assist you in your selection of tints, sections of the book are printed on three different basis weights of paper to illustrate reproduction quality visually:
1. 70 lb. Gloss stock
2. 55 lb. Offset stock
3. 45 lb. Gloss stock
The book is used but in good condition. A few of the pages have small marks next to a color selection.
